Portland is a city of neighborhoods, known for its deep-rooted culture of local makers and small businesses. Across the city, breweries, coffee roasters, restaurants, and artisans of every kind contribute to neighborhoods that each have their own distinct character—shaped by the artists, craftspeople, and shop-local entrepreneurs who call them home. Portland’s urban wine scene has been part of this fabric since the 1980s. Today, many neighborhoods are home to a local winemaker, including members of our Association. Like all strong communities, collaboration is at the heart of what we do—PDX winemakers have long shared knowledge, connections, equipment, and even customers with fellow makers.

PDX Urban Wineries showcase Oregon-grown fruit and wines, allowing people to experience the state’s wine culture without ever leaving the city.
